Background: Butch's story is told in the fourth book of the series, Lover Revealed. However we first see him in Dark Lover as a human homicide detective in search of what happened to Beth. Upon meeting he and Marissa have an immediate attraction. He is the first human allowed to stay within the vampire world within the inner circle of the Brotherhood. Feeling he has nothing to loose he stays with the Brotherhood and falls in love with Marissa, and it is later discovered he is a descendant of Wrath's line, allowing him to be turned and later initiated into the Brotherhood. He is the only brother that can literally suck the life out of his enemies, although when he does it makes him very sick and in need of healing from Vishous.

Relationships:  He is mated to Marissa. He is a descendant from Wrath's line on his father's side and is half brother to Manny. He also has a very close relationship to Vishous.
