Background: Jane's story is told in the fifth book of the series, Lover Unboung. However as she is the race's primary doctor, she is present throughout most of the subsequent books as well. She was human when we first meet her working, under Manny,  as an esteemed surgeon in a human hospital.

Relationships:  She is mated to Vishous. Works closely with Manny and Ehlena in the clinic. Sister in law to Payne. Being the BDB's primary Dr, she interacts with all the Brothers and their shellans. She and V live  in the Pit with Marissa and Butch.
