Background: John's story is told in the eighth book of the series, Lover Mine. He was however first introduced in the second book, Lover Eternal, when he called into the suicide hotline. He was recognized as a pre-trans vampire and taken under the wing of the Brotherhood, specifically Tohr and Wellsie. His sotry has been interspersed throughout the whole series. It is known to the readers that he is Darius reincarnated, although that fact is not known to any of the characters in the story. He is thought to be Darius's son. John is deaf. 

Relationships:  He is mated to Xhex. Thought to be the brother to Beth (although see above he is really her father reincarnated). Very close to Qhuinn and Blay as they went through the training program together and became very close friends. Tohr is like a father to him.
