Mourning

 For those of you that may have already read " A Warm Heart in Winter"..............you will know what inspired these photos.  

My heart broke for Lassiter in this book. We got to see another side of him and an insight into why he behaves how he does at times.

I have to say I really loved him in this book. I always enjoy his antics, but I loved seeing a different sides of him in A Warm Heart in Winter.

I really look forward to seeing what happens when he goes up against Devina. I also am really looking forward to Adrian and Eddie from the Fallen Angels series showing up in the Brotherhood world.

 

Some Brother Love

 What do you do when it's too dark and overcast outside to take new pics...................play with edits on older photos! I felt like spending time with my Brotherhood guys today, but its just too dark and overcast to take new photos, so I looked through older photos and did some new edits on them. First up, the King.

Then Rhage got some attention. PicMonkey updated their software so now I'm having to re-learn where everything is, so this was a good exercise to practice. I thought this pic of Rhage made him look like he was coming through the mhis.

 Just a close up shot of Nalla, as I had her out for some new photos today. She has her Daddy's eyes.

The Lovely Ehlena

 Took some new photos of the lovely Ehlena since she is spending some time on the body (she shares the body with Payne)  and was dressed in this beautiful lingerie. I've had the lingerie for so long I've forgotten who made it, but it really is lovely. You can click on the pics for larger views.

Rehv and Ehlena

Finally got these 2 in front of the camera. I need to readjust his eyes and restring him as he kept wanting to buckle.

Doria really is such a gorgeous sculpt. I've always loved brown eyed blondes too.

The Perfect Mohawk

FINALLY got the final piece of the puzzle to put Rehv together!! I've had him painted for quite a while, but finding the perfect wig for him was a huge challenge. For those of you that have read the books, you know Rehv has a mohawk..........................NOT the easiest hair style to pull off in BJD land. My original effort was a fur wig, but it was just too thick on the sides. His original look shown below.

Even though Rehv's book was one of my favorites..........(.I sure wish we would see more of him in the stories since, but I digress)...........anyway, the lack of a perfect wig for him curtailed my enjoyment of him and I rarely got him out to photograph. Finally early this year I asked Chewin if he could make one for me. I sent him the following inspiration pic.

And after a little over 2 months in transit, due to COVID transportation issues.........the wig finally made its way to us. LOVE how it turned out. Really pulls the character together for me. Chewin does such a phenomenal job on his wigs.............I would own one for every single one of my male guys  if I could, as good guy hair can be so difficult.

I think Rehv will finally get the attention he deserves now that he has the perfect hair. I look forward to getting Ehlena back out and taking some photos of the 2 of them together.

A Chosen's Story

Layla was one of the first "Chosen" to make an appearance in the books.  Part of the race bred to feed and service the needs of the Brotherhood, she didn't have much of a personality or a backbone when first introduced. She was pretty one dimensional. 

As her layers started to unfold, I really began to feel for her.............trained as an Ehros, to sexually pleasure members of the Brotherhood, along with the feeding, she never got a chance to put her training into practice as the Brothers that she fed primarily already had human mates, so she was called upon for feeding, but not aught else. 

She was an Ehros, who was a virgin, and she longed for someone to love. She fell in love with Qhuinn as he was kind to her, and he was single, so he did enter into a semi sexual relationship with her, but he was also in love with someone else, and he truly cared for Layla, he didn't want to hurt her.

It was during her relationship with Qhuinn that her personality really started to emerge and she developed some backbone. I really started to enjoy her character quite a bit and longed for her to get her own happy ending, which she eventually did with Xcor. I can't say their story, told in "The Chosen", but running as a sub story for several books prior,  was my favorite, but I'm glad she got her happy. She has become one of my favorite female characters within the books.

Xcor and Layla

Poor Xcor, he's barely gotten any pictures since I shelled him several years ago. Part of it is he shares his body with several other heads.  Part of it is I guess I've never found a wig that REALLY suited him how I see him in my head. I decided to play a bit with him today in a fur wig I had in my stash.

While it isn't 100%, it suits him well enough for now I suppose.

I do like him with Layla quite a lot.

Re-charging Batteries

Just a few pics of Lassiter outside "re-charging his batteries", so to speak.

Actually it was so nice outside I wanted to take some photos and Lassiter is one that can actually "take" the sunlight, so he was voted for new photos.

Sharp Dressed Man

There are several males within the Brotherhood world that are sharp dressers...……..Butch, of course, but I'm in the process of re-shelling him now, so don't have his character to represent here......ditto Rehv. Trez is one I do have, that I have always thought of as a sharp dresser as well.

I found this suit in my stash, and realized it has been a really long time since I put someone in it, and an even longer time since I photographed someone in it...……….I can't even find any old photographs of one of the guys wearing it. I decided to pull Trez out and let him model.

I have to say he looks pretty sharp in it, with or without the jacket.

Iple really did some wonderful suits back in the old days. The sculpts weren't have bad either, as you can see below.

Sometimes you Disagree

I don't imagine it's easy being mated to the daughter of a deity. Her protective instincts are as strong as his and she's as deadly as any of the Brothers.

Being the only human male in a mansion full of vampires could also be a bit a trial.

But at the end of the day...…...Manny really likes his life, even if he's not always thrilled with his mates job.
